    Empowerment through Food Introduction Photo

Empowerment Through Food is a public school curriculum that promotes personal health and environmental education through an understanding of food growth and waste cycles. Project H's New York team is currently working with schools in Brooklyn to develop the cohesive and flexible curriculum to educate children about protecting out planet and our bodies by recycling, reusing, and eating healthfully and locally. By educating our youth in practices of taking care of our world, and our unique and complex machines that are our bodies, we will not only erase our carbon foot prints but be healthier and happier people and pass the message along. ETF's curriculum contains the information kids and teachers need in order to help begin these life long lessons. The ETF packet includes information for teachers as well as lessons for students designed to be taught in 17 weeks in the classroom. The curriculum will soon be available for download (for a modest donation to the organization).

Special thanks to the Empowerment through Food team: Erika Kessel, Oscar Lopez, Lys H.
